Kitsune Encounters

Do the kitsune kami still exist? Do they walk among us? Is kitsune-tsuki real?(fox possession)

Some say they still do. Here is one such person.

“I met this kitsune on my first and only mushroom trip, had awesome sex with her and she stayed with me for a while. While the spiritual sex continued to be awesome it started to have a succubus like quality on my energy levels. I tried to get her to leave but she said she couldn't, so I researched the stuff, we went into the woods to build a shrine to inari, I saw a real fox close up for the first time and she went away. That's what happened.”

“I won’t give specific locations for privacy reasons. Im from New England USA. Back in 2005 I was vacationing on an island off the coast of New Brunswick Canada at my cousin's vacation home. My family went with them and some other cousins for around a week. There wasn't enough room in the house for everyone, so the other boys and I stayed outside in my tent.

I was about 15 at the time, and the two other boys were about 13 and 10. We were very close to a beach, and there was a large patch of reeds in the backyard that ran alongside the side of the house up to the road with a section of grass in between.

One night the older of the two and I got up to take a leak. We turned to face the Reed patch and noticed a distinct glow coming from them. There was an apparition that was clearly in the shape of a fox, but the body was like a white fog. It was a clear night and there wasn't any fog out. Just this fox shaped apparition. About 15 to 25 feet away from us. It glowed like an LED, but was easy on the eyes to look at. It had no eyes mouth or nose on its face and no distinct facial features or eyeshine. We could see through it. It seemed like it was looking directly at us.

It started walking away from us in a perpendicular path away from the road. It disturbed the reeds as it walked. After it walked a short distance for about half a minute it turned to its left to move deeper into the reeds and completely vanished. The light and everything gone in an instant. We weren't at all afraid of this, but we were left with a sense of wonder. We slept easily after that.

A good 14 to 15 years later I finally decided to look into what it might have been. For some reason it didn't dawn on me to look into it until then. What we saw just about perfectly matches a Kiko kitsune spirit from Japanese folklore. The spirits whom act as messengers for Inari. I saw the anime Inari kon kon just a year or two ago, and noticed the foxes depicted in that anime were almost exactly like what we had seen. The manga didn't come out until 2010 and by that point I wasn't too familiar with manga. The anime came out in 2014. My cousin and I knew almost nothing about fox spirit mythology in 2005.”

“Like first I thought I wouldn't be able to meditate because my head is always working (mainly funny chaos) Nogitsune on his podcast said that to go into meditation state I have to clear my mind he gave fishing as an example so I thought for a while where do I stop thinking so much. And it hit me (sort of) my mind is going quite quiet when I imagine different stories so while I listened to the podcast I lay down on my bed in a T-Pose like pose holding the crystal ball in my right hand, at the beginning I couldn't quite focus but then I focused to imagine a big black void like room with me in it. So I started saying "Hello" the entire time it did take a while but I heard a faded and cut in half with feminine voice word "Hello" as well, after that I started once again saying "Hello can you hear me?" Then I thought maybe it was Tamamo as I was thinking about giving her Thanks so I Thanked her but no response as well as I asked something about why did she pay attention to someone like me...a mare mortal and if she is the one that told Nogitsune Kitsune to do exorcism on me for purification. But got no response Then I thought to myself to focus on the Kitsune that is close to me, I began saying "Hello" again but this time there was a slight echo all around me. So I was walking back and forth in that big black void and then I saw her the Kitsune that is near me. Holy my reaction was crazy She has 3 tails, her ears and tails are blue/dark blue with a little black at the end of them and like white dots all over those tails and ears they were glowing so I thought about stars or something. She was wearing an outfit like Senko-san has, but her face was.. I could only see the half with her mouth, she was smiling at me. I tried talking to her, whatever I told her her warm smile started becoming even more beautiful and warm. After some time I saw that the ground around had some water like a couple centimeters/inches and then I saw her face. She had such a happy face, when she revealed it to me. Under both of her eyes she had like 2 black lines (like some lost civilizations do for rituals). Holy that was something else.. she did not talk to me, my mind couldn't even force her to speak. Then she reached out a hand to me still silent as it was getting close to the ending of the podcast as I heard. I said "Thank you, I'm glad I finally got to see you" (polish translation "Dziękuję, jestem przeszczęśliwy spotkaniem ciebie.") or something like that I was talking about in my native language. I was looking at her for a good while, then I Heard another different then before feminine voice "But" it was in my native language ( polish translation "Ale" ) and then after another while she said (but it wasn't feminine voice or my voice) "Thank You" and I shake her hand. We stood there and as the podcast ended I told her once again "Thank You" and opened my eyes. Her arm sleeves near her hands had the same color patterns as tails and ears. Also the one thing with Crystal Ball as I was holding it in my hand and was rubbing it with my finger as I was doing it I felt like from my main body to head, legs and arms something like a blood flow was happening. When I stopped rubbing the crystal ball with my finger the feeling of the blood flow was hiding in my main body and once I rubbed it again the feeling was back. That's all probably Although I don't remember her face because it was shown for a moment she was smiling till the end. I remember her figure tho. Ah almost forgot it felt around her like she was next to me for quite some time couple years if not more.”
